DAVIS BADMINTON 's Website is back up and running again. UC Davis badminton is proud to present our SPRING OPEN 2008 tournament which will be on April 26th and 27th.

note: We are aware of the shortened practice times and are trying our best to get more time that does not conflict with the Fencing club. Thank you for your cooperation and understanding at this time.
I hope everyone has had a great holiday break, and welcome everyone back to school on the 7th of January. Practice will begin the first week of school and the time has yet to be determined. The practice times will be posted here once they are set. A couple of events are coming up this month, our annual snow trip and the Berkeley tournament later this month. Hopefully everyone is looking to participate this year as we hope to make it another great year. We encourage everyone to come join us this quarter if they were not able to make it out last quarter. There's no need to be shy, drop by during our practice times, introduce yourself and bring a friend or two.

Dualmeet vs. Santa Cruz is the weekend of the 17th of November!! Friday practice (Nov 9th) and Monday practice (Nov. 12th) has been cancelled due to Veterans day. Have a great 3-day weekend everyone! For those of you who still wish to challenge/play in the dual meet against SC on the weekend of the 17th, please show up to practice on Wednesday, November 14th!! Thank you.

The Davis Fall Open 2007 has been a success this year thanks to all our participants and volunteers who arrived in a timely manner and kept the tournament running smoothly. At this time, we would like to thank you all for coming and wish that you will join us at the next tournament. It was a lot of hard work and many great matches were played.

Hello Everyone! I've gotten word that some people cannot find or view the tournament t-shirt design on the website even after the link initially on the first announcement. For those and everyone else who wants to view the design again. Here are the direct links so you cannot miss it. Davis Fall Open 2007 Disclaimer:
- No Food is allowed in the gym. There will be tables provided outside the gym for eating. Only snacks, sports drinks & water is allowed inside the gym.
- Consolations are one game to 21 rally scoring.
- Consolations for semifinals & beyond are 21 point rally scoring system with best 2 out of 3.
- Please note that the deadline for entry is October 19th at 12:00am Midnight and any late entries are not guaranteed a spot in the draws.

It must be mildly apparent that the website has changed now to take on a new look. To kick this new year off, we have coming up, our 2007 Davis Fall Open!! I hope that everyone will attend this year since it's going to be better than ever especially with our new 2007-2008 officers! Congratulations to everyone on their new positions!
Check out our Events Page because in order to commerorate the opening of our new website, the gates to the Online Entry Forms as well as our tournament t-shirt design will now be up and available for viewing!! Also, club practice will begin on Wednesday, September 26th in Upper Hickey Gym. Practice times are currently set as:
Monday and Wednesdays: 8:30pm-11pm
Fridays: 6:00pm-10pm
